Here she is!!!!

The transaction went smooth..she was asleep. Here are some pictures of her still asleep on our hotel bed. It could be interesting when she wakes up!!!!

Wow

Well we met Alyssa today and it went as well as could be expected. She cried A LOT any time her foster mother was not touching her, but it will be OK. We will get her at 2:00p.m. tomorrow(Wednesday) Korea time. Which will be 11:00 p.m. Tuesday night for you. I didn't take pictures she was crying to much but I will take pictures after we get her tomorrow.

Excited, anxious, and nervous about meeting Alyssa for the first time. And a little worried that I will forget something very important!!!!!
I guess I should really start packing sometime soon, but then again we will only need cloths for 4 days.

We leave in exactly 2 weeks and 2 days. Not much time left considering I still have Christmas shopping to finish, then wrapping, and not to mention Christmas dinner. Oh yeah and pack!
It is making me crazy because I don't have a list or any organization yet, and organization is a must for me!
I do have a prayer request.
PLEASE continue to pray for the Mueller's to get their travel soon!!

WOO HOO!!

It is nice to be able to report football is over BEFORE it got to cold! Our last game was Friday night and yes we lost but overall it was a good game. My son Ty caught a 15 yard pass which in my opinion made the game, ok I could be a little bias..just a little.
I am SO HAPPY to tell you that Alyssa was in the last batch for EP(emigrant permit). We still really do not know when we will get travel. After EP then Korea will get her passport and visa then travel. Under the best circumstances we could be going to get her the week of Christmas, the worst would be the last week of January. Either way she will be home soon!!
Our hope and prayer is to bring Alyssa home the week of Christmas. So please continue to pray!
I am HAPPY to say YEAH the Johnson's are home!!!!!!
Please remember them and the Mueller's in your prayers also.
I hope you all have a GREAT week!!!

Still Waiting

No news yet. Our adoption agency says they will know soon if Alyssa is in the last batch of the year for her EP(Emigrant Permit). I don't know what their definition on soon is but mine is NOW! I am trying to be very patient but not knowing if we get to bring our little girl home this year is killing me. I want to thank all of you for your prayers and ask that you continue to pray that Alyssa is in this batch going forward for EP. Thank You!!!

PRAISE !!!

First I would just like to Praise GOD! He is mighty!!
Last week some people from our adoption agency traveled to Korea. While they were there they were able to see our Alyssa and 29 other children! WOW!! This mean us and 29 other families get new video and pictures of our beautiful children!! So, as I said Praise the Lord!!!!
We are no closer to knowing when Alyssa will get her passport, but we are getting new pictures!! It is hard not to wonder and worry, but I am doing my best to leave it in God's hands. For his timing is perfect!!!
Please pray for the Johnson's safe travel, the Mueller's LOA, and for Alyssa's passport.
My next blog will have new pictures!!!!!!!!!!
So until next time may God bless you all!

Care Package and More

Alyssa's Care Package

There are some people from our adoption agency going to Korea next week, which means we get to send a care package to Alyssa. Woo Hoo! Maybe we will get lucky enough for them to get new pictures of her.

I want to thank all the ladies who hosted the baby shower for Alyssa last Sunday!! THANK YOU!!!

Ty is now in High School Football that means a game every Friday and some Monday JV games. It's a little scary when you see the other team, they always look so HUGE, but I think he holds his own.(I could be a little bias)

In our spare time (ha ha) we have been going to goat shows. Goat shows are now over until spring!!

That's all I have for now I hope I will have some good news SOON!!!!

GO Number 22!!!!

No News!

We are still waiting to see if our Alyssa is going to get her passport or not. It is very difficult not knowing anything! As soon as I know something I will let everyone know. Please pray that we will get to bring her home this year, that the quota will not be met before Alyssa gets her passport! Please also continue to pray for the Johnson's and the Mueller's!

Don't Forget Who Is In Charge!!

It started with an e-mail I received on Thursday. It stated that Korea was getting close to the quota for passports that they allow a year. I made phone calls trying to find out if Alyssa had a passport or if they had filed for her passport yet and got no answers. I was frustrated and having some what of a melt down. My Friday didn't go any better! Then on Saturday much to my surprise I received a letter in the mail stating that Alyssa's visa papers had been forwarded to Korea. Now I really don't know what to think! They have to file for Alyssa's passport and receive it before they can file for her visa. Still confused and frustrated!
Saturday evening it hit me like a lead balloon. I AM NOT in charge!!! The Lord is and it will all happen in his timing NOT mine!! So my new outlook is that it is not when Alyssa comes home it is that she comes home!!!!! Don't get me wrong it is VERY HARD not to wonder but I am doing my best to leave it to my God. I pray for Alyssa every night and I know she will come home!
Now I am getting ready to start a very busy yet fun week. Our local Watermelon Festival is this week and there is something going on every night not to mention the fact that I am a class parent and each class builds a float for the parade on Saturday.
I hope everyone has a blessed and wonderful week!!!

Thursday, August 20, 2009

YEAH!!!!

We received our I-171 today!!! This is our papers that make Alyssa our immediate relative. One step closer!!!!

Some Good News

A little good news. A good friend of mine gave me an e-mail address so that I could check on our I-600. I received a message back from CIS on Tuesday that our application had been approved it is just awaiting the approval letter!!! WOO HOO!!!

On another note I am asking for all who reads my blog to please keep the Mueller's and the Johnson's in your prayers, as they are traveling the adoption road also.

Until next time I hope you all have a great week and weekend!!!

THANK YOU AGAIN for the address!!!

A little update

My husband, myself, and some dear friends of ours went to see Wicked Tuesday night. Let me tell you IT WAS GREAT!! If you every get the chance go see it!! Thanks D & A for going with us, that made it even better!!!

On a more somber note I am in the process of doctoring my oldest son back to health. It started as food poisoning and has ended up as an infection in his intestine. His doctor says that he should feel 100% better by tomorrow. So please keep him in your prayers. He has been battling this since last Saturday.

Still Waiting

We received new pictures of Alyssa on Friday. They are the most adorable pictures! It was like Christmas morning when I opened the e-mail. She is growing way to fast and we are missing it :( We are still waiting on one last approval that will make her our legal relative and allow them to get her visa and passport. As soon as all that happens we get to go get our little girl!!! Soon I hope!!
My youngest son had a birthday on Friday. He turned 6, he is growing up way to fast too!!! We took him and a friend to Incredible Pizza, they had a blast! I had fun too. They have a race car game where you race against each other and my 14 year old thought he could beat me. HaHaHa! I left him in the dust!!!It was a great day all around!
To cap off the week we had our VBS program at church Saturday night. I was amazed at all the parents that were there. It was GREAT!!! The kids sang songs with motions that they had learned the past 5 days. It was amazing to see the little ones singing and doing the motions to these songs. I don't know about anybody else but my 6 year old really enjoyed VBS!! I just want to say THANK YOU to EVERYONE who help in EVERY WAY with VBS!!!!

First of all I want to say CONGRATS to the Mueller's!!! I am soooo excited for them!!!
And yes it is time for VBS!! My 5 year old is so excited about it he was ready to go at 7:00A.M. this morning. My 14 year old is helping with the younger kids crafts. He takes after his mom, I am helping with the older kids crafts. I am really not sure exactly what my husband is doing but I am positive that A or L will find a place for him!!!
A good friend of mine gave me a book for my birthday. It is called New Day New You 366 Devotions for Enjoying Everyday Life. It is AWESOME!!! Thank You!!!!!

I hope everyone has a GREAT week!!!

NO Finger Pointing!

I have been doing a lot of thinking today about adoption and adoption agencies. I have come to the conclusion that we as adopting parents do a host of finger pointing. When something goes wrong or doesn't happen how or when we think it should we are quick to point the finger of blame at our adoption agency or our home study agency. We really need to stop and think about this before we do! Adoption is a good verses evil. The Lord wants us to adopt, but the devil wants us to leave the children right where they are! Yet in the midst of all the paperwork and home studies we don't stop and think that what we really need to be doing is not point the finger but to pray to the Lord and to tell the devil to leave us alone and get out of our adoption. I know first hand that things don't always go how you think they should or when you think they should. That is the time we should remember as much as God wants us doing this the devil wants us to quit even more! I would hate to think that my dislike of an agency would detour someone else from using them. Especially when that agency is probably not to blame for what happened the devil is!
Just a little food for thought.

A GREAT WEEKEND!!!

I hope everyone had a blessed 4th of July! We went to my moms in Fairview on the 3rd and watched fireworks then had my mom over on the 4th and did fireworks at home. From our driveway we also watched fireworks in Ringwood and Helena. It was GREAT!!
Last night we had our bible study and the fellowship was awesome! We had good food too!!! A little something for one of my dearest friends: Don't let it get you down the devil is trying to discourage you! He wants you to quit, DON'T! It will come all in God's time!!! We love you all!!!
I hope everyone has an awesome rest of the summer. Spend it wisely as school starts in a little over a month!!!

BASEBALL IS OVER!!!

Well we lost last night. It was not very pretty either! But that's OK it's over and there is no need to ever talk about it again! I have just one more job before baseball is completely done and that is our end of the year party. I have no clue what to do yet but I am sure I will figure it out.
In the midst of all the chaos of the last week I somehow managed to paint my 5 year olds room. He has wanted a green room for the last year and I finally gave in. His whole room is not green only the bottom half of the walls. I normally would not do something like this but I felt it was very important to do this for him as everything will soon be pretty crazy when we bring Alyssa home and I don't want him to feel left out!

Another Week Gone

I have nothing new to share about Alyssa's papers we are still waiting. I am very thankful that baseball season is almost over. It will be nice to be able to relax and not have to wonder where we play tonight! Between both of my boys I was going 4 days a week to ball games and if it was a home game I had to have the concession stand ready and open for business. I can say that we did very well on the concession stand! I love baseball but it just seemed this year nothing went right. Every time I turned around something was wrong.
My oldest is playing in the end of the year tournament starting tonight and if we win tomorrow night. I hope we win but if we don't that's OK too!
We have two more weeks to wait on papers for Alyssa before I can start calling and bugging people. Hopefully I won't have to do that I don't like to do that kind of stuff.
I also want to say THANK YOU to ALL the adults that went to Falls Creek!!! If it were not for you our kids would miss the wonderful experience that they get there. It is wonderful to know that we have people like you in our church that love and care for our children as much as us parents do. THANK YOU again!!!!!

LEGAL PAPERS!!!

Today we received legal papers on Alyssa! That means we file papers with CIS to make her our relative! Once those papers are approved they will get her Visa and Passport! Then we travel!!! It is all going a lot faster then I expected. I do know that they said it could take anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks for CIS to approve our request to make her our relative. That is OK though, that gives me more time to get things ready here. Which I have not even started. Baseball will be over before July 4 so I will have more time then to move furniture and rearrange everything for Alyssa's room. Thank You to all of you for all your prayers!!!

Summer Almost GONE

It is already the middle of June and my family hasn't even had a chance to take a vacation yet. Hopefully we can take one in July! Between baseball, t-ball, and softball I do have some good news! I got to send me first care package to Alyssa yesterday!!!! I am so excited!! And as usual that is all I have to update you on. Hopefully we will get some news on Alyssa's papers soon!

GOD IS GREAT!!!!

I have been waiting all day to be allowed to post this! On Friday June,29th we received a file of a beautiful little girl. We responded to the e-mail but it was to late in the day so we had to wait until Monday June, 1st to get her entire file. Once we looked at her file did a little research took it to the doctor we accepted her!!!! Yes we have a little girl her name will be Alyssa Marie, she will be 6 months old on Friday, and is BEAUTIFUL!!! Now there is a 3-6 month wait before we can go get her and bring her home. As we understand the wait depends upon how fast they get her passport and visa. We are so excited!!!!!

Hello Again!!

First I want to say CONGRATS to the Johnson family!! We finally have a fingerprint appointment! I keep saying that I am ready for school to be out, but I don't really think I am. My summer doesn't look any better! My oldest son graduates from 8th grade on Monday and I am a class parent, so that means decorations, getting gowns ready and all that fun stuff. Please don't get me wrong I love being a class parent!!! I just seem to keep adding more and more to my already full plate. But I guess that's what you do when it comes to your kids. Tonight is my first night without a banquet this week, but we have baseball practice! I just thought I was going to rest tonight. Ha Ha

Saturday, April 18, 2009

Good News!

First the good news. Our home study has been approved and sent to CIS!!! Now we wait for CIS to notify us for our fingerprints. On another note my husband and myself are once again heading up our local summer league for t-ball, machine pitch, baseball, and softball. It is a trying job but the kids really enjoy it. Don't get me wrong it's not hard it's just very time consuming, but at this point in time it keeps me busy so I don't think about all the waiting for the adoption. As soon as we get our fingerprint date I will let everyone know. Hope you all have a GREAT week!!

Not Much News

Not much to write about here. We received our final home study on Friday which should mean that it was also sent to the local CIS office. So, we are waiting for our fingerprint appointment. It is that time in the adoption process that we begin to WAIT. Wait on fingerprints, wait on referral, just a lot of waiting. That's OK though the wait does not bother me because I know all of this will happen in GOD's timing! I would like to say I am sorry that I am not more of a blogger. I was told be some people that they liked reading my blog but I don't blog enough. So to you I AM SORRY! I will try to blog more! It is almost Easter and that means most all the family at our house. Don't get me wrong I love to have everyone together, it just means a lot of cooking and cleaning and I tend to get nervous that something won't turn out the way it is suppose to. I can let the adoption process take as long as needed without worrying but I can't make Sunday dinner without worrying. Go figure. Then to top it all off my 14 year old has a track meet Saturday at Medford. Like I needed something else to do this weekend. Well that is all for now. I will try to be a better blogger!!!!

A LONG Week!!

Well first a little update. Ours and another families papers went in front of the board again for the same little girl. Sad to say, but once again we did not get her:-( That's ok. The family that did get her lives close to a hospital that specializes in her needs with a children's support program! Which is GREAT for her! I find myself wondering if we were used so that she could make it to this family? God works in mysterious ways! I really am glad to know that she is going to a family that has the resources to take care of her :-) I know that FAITH and PATIENCE are the two most important things as you go through the adoption process! I am very luck to have wonderful friends who are always there when I just need to talk!! Things will be OK!
As for this week. My oldest son had district stock show. It takes 2 days to get ready for a 2 hour show. Crazy I know, but my son likes it and that's all that matters! I also painted my classroom at church this week. It is a solid cocoa rose with red checkerboard squares on the bottom half. I like it. I just hope the kids like it, then again they are 3 and 4 year olds you never know what they will like. As my title says it was a long week, but I wouldn't have it any other way! I can't wait to have another munchkin to chase around!!!!

NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS?

Not much news to report. We have completed all applications and a work shop that was required for the adoption. We still don't know if we are going to get this beautiful little girl that we would love to have join our family. Since me last blog we were over looked for her and another family got her and for some reason the very next week that family dropped out and decided they did not want her. Now there is a lot of red tape stuff and hoops that we are having to jump through in order to even be looked at for her. Crazy if you ask me! They already know we want her. The decision a few weeks ago was between us and the other family that has dropped out I don't understand why we were not next in line. But that's the way the cookie crumbles! I can say that I have quit worrying about it because there is nothing I can do and besides if she is meant to be ours they can approve as many families as they want in the end she will be ours. I am hoping that I will have an answer in a week or so. After our last application is approved we have to meet with our home study lady one more time before we can be looked at for her. It's all good though!! I am staying busy for the next 5 days with my oldest son. He shows goats and now has 3 to show. Which means grooming, bathing, and all the other fun stuff that goes along with getting an animal show ready. This will keep me very busy as my son is to scared to clip the goats so mom gets to do it. I don't mind though he really enjoys showing and that is why I do it!
To my surprise my mom has really been a big help through this adoption. She keeps me grounded and reminds me every day not to worry about it it will all happen when and how it is suppose to. She tells me every day that if we are meant to have her we will it is out of my hands and in the hands of God. I am so thankful to have my mom I don't know what i would do without her!! So until next time hope you have a Great Day and God Bless!!

SORRY I haven't blogged in a while!!!

Christmas and New Year were GREAT at our house. There has been a lot going on since Thanksgiving. For those of you who don't know, which is pretty much everyone except a select few. We are no longer going to China to adopt instead we are going to Korea. It is very exciting and a little scary now that we are on our own without the help of my good friends. I know everything will be great though. I am 100% positive that this is where the Lord wants us to be! Therefore everything will be just fine! We have got approval on our medical and app. We are looking at a beautiful little girl. At this time we are trying to get a better idea of her medical needs before we make a final decision. But as soon as we make that decision on our girl I will let you know!! I just want to THANKS to my AMAZING friends who are taking the journey to China for being so supportive! Next time I blog hopefully I will be able to post pictures of our little girl!
