Thanks to an awesome friend I have all the paperwork ready to file with the court to finalize Alyssa's Adoption!!!!! I am filing it Wednesday and then we wait for court.

How Time Flies!!!

It has been 1 year since we accepted our referral for our precious Alyssa. Doesn't seem like it has been that long, and to think we are in the final countdown until our adoption is finalized and she is ours!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!

I would like to wish all you mothers out there a Very Happy Mother's Day!


Before me there was her. Alyssa's foster mother, her beloved "Omma". The woman who loved and cared for her from 3 weeks old until we got her at 1 year.
To her I wish a Very Special Happy Mother's Day and a HUGE THANK YOU!!!
She will always be one of Alyssa's mothers, so this year and every year we will celebrate her as well as the mother before her. The brave woman who gave our precious Alyssa up for adoption. To her I say Thank You and Happy Mother's Day! They may have came before me but they will always be the ones who took care of and loved our precious gift from God, our Alyssa.

WOW!!!

If you can believe it we have been home with Alyssa for exactly 14 weeks and 1 day!!! My how time flies when you're having fun!!! We recently had our 2nd post-placement visit. All is well! With Korea you have 3 post-placement visits in the first 6 months that you are home and then you finalize the adoption. Yes I said finalize the adoption. In exactly 12 weeks Alyssa will be OURS FOREVER!!!!!!! Got to go she is waking up from her nap now but here are some pictures.

Aidan was Baptized Sunday with 2 other kids. I can only say wow!! God is GREAT!! We have amazing Sunday School Teachers, VBS Workers, Pastor, and awesome parents!!! Thank You to all of you!!!!!!!

Long Time No Blog

Sorry it has been so long! We have all been sick at some point the last few weeks. We have had the flu, strep throat, and ear infections. And we battle what the doctor calls allergies with Alyssa everyday!! Here are some pictures that I have managed to take since we have been home.

Between It All

It has been nonstop since we got back home from Korea. With Alyssa trying to get use to not having any other kids to play with while Aidan and Ty are at school, Ty now playing high school basketball and stock show season on the nearing horizon I'm not sure how much time I will have to blog.
Alyssa is sleeping through the night (most nights) but the days are rough. I believe she is starting to grieve. She only wants me to hold her, most of the time she wants nothing to do with her dad, and sometimes Ty can keep her attention. In public she is a completely different kid. She loves everyone..well almost everyone.
I am trying to get pictures developed I promise!!!
And most importantly

HAPPY 15th BIRTHDAY TY!!!!!!!!

Sorry I have not blogged!! Everything is going well. Alyssa has adjusted to Dale, the boys, and myself very well!! She played in the nursery yesterday at church it was great to see her playing with the other kids!!
As far as nights go. WOW!!! She gets up 6 or 7 times during the night and last night was the worst!!!
But we are all doing good and thank you all for all your prayers. I will try to update more often....
